Simply …………Penne. SIMPLY Penne?

Some readers might think my interest for pasta looks alike focused on extraordinary shapes, like those in my calendar series, e.g. this one. Confessing they have a lovely and special attraction to a photographer’s and his client’s eyes. But I really do love the “classics” like penne, maccaroni, spirelli, fusilli and of course spaghetti and others as well. For several reasons. And one of those reasons is the way how the go along with sauces and other ingredients. Due to their structure.

A very interesting and tasty recipe and example is “Pasta with Sausage and Cheese” I detected at Saveur. Blue cheese meets spicy sausages. Give it a try. With penne or garganelli or some pasta You prefer. Perhaps You’d like to link Your experience with that recipe here?
